At WDS, our values aren’t just something we talk about – they’re lived every day by our incredible team. Each quarter, we take a moment to spotlight someone who has truly embodied what it means to be part of WDS. We’re delighted to announce that Laura Allen is our latest Quarterly Recognition Award winner!
The nomination, submitted by Deborah Wood, paints a clear picture of why Laura stood out:
“I’d like to nominate Laura Allen for her exceptional contributions in several important areas recently.”
A Reliable Teammate
When it came time to relocate the Leyburn office, Laura stepped up in a big way. From assisting with file archiving and coordinating the new office layout to setting up desks and PCs, her hands-on support ensured everything ran smoothly. She also played a major role in designing a more efficient, paper-conscious filing system in the new space – reflecting both reliability and an eye for sustainability.
An Approachable Leader
Alongside Deborah, Laura helps lead day-to-day operations at Leyburn – from preparing MI packs to chairing monthly meetings and encouraging team collaboration. Her approachable nature has created an environment where progress and productivity thrive.
Passionate About Results
Laura has also been instrumental in the team’s drive to meet and exceed goals. She keeps the junior team focused, ensures deadlines are met, and even looks out for opportunities to grow the firm – referring clients to other WDS services when relevant.
In the words of our Managing Director, Julie Young:
“This award is for you, by you – to celebrate your teammates. It’s clear Laura has shown consistent hard work, a team-focused attitude, and a real drive to help the business succeed.”
A Culture of Recognition
We’re proud to recognise Laura for her dedication and impact. As we move forward, we encourage all team members to keep sharing those everyday moments that make a big difference. Your nominations help us celebrate what makes WDS so special – our people.
? Well done, Laura – and thank you for everything you do! ?
