Thirty years on, Walter Dawson was still hard at work — this 1916 tax return bears his signature as Assessor of Taxes.

A firm doesn’t last 140 years by accident. Since 1886, WDS has traded through two world wars, the Depression of the 1930s, the oil crisis of the 1970s, the recessions of the early 1990s and 2008, and a global pandemic.
